I love Body Shop products. They may not work one bit but how they smell amazing :)
Since I've never had such dry hands in my life before, while it's not even a cold winter in Belgium and I never go outdoors due to exams, I thought it would be a good idea to look into hand lotions again.
I hate hand lotions... they never seem to work, they dry up leaving a gross film on my hands. I'm not sure they work preventive either. They wash off and they just never run out. They may contain some UV filter but there is no sun in winter and who uses hand cream in summer?
Despite all of this I decided to buy a small tube of Body Shop' hand cream in the variety of Shea. I thought it would be great to have the amazing scent "at hand"... funny because I already have the Shea perfume, the shea body wash, the shea lip butter and shea body spray. I have everything to make me smell of shea instantly. I still felt like spoiling myself with something new but kinda cheap yet pretty, something girly, and what's more girly than a useless hand lotion? Also I looked at the cracks between my fingers. How? I don't know. Perhaps from the heating.
Another reason was that none of my hand creams had really been good. The best one so far I thought was the one from Dove (I can't keep them apart) which never feels greasy and applies very smoothly.
Anyway, cut to the chase!
The lotion is very light, very smooth, smells like divine shea, it's not a butter, it's a very soft lotion that spreads quickly, faster than any hand lotion I've ever had. It contains glycerin, sweet almond oil and a bit of shea butter for the scent. It soothes instantly, doesn't leave a greasy feeling even without wiping the palms of the hand. It seems to soften the cracks between my fingers but I haven't used it very often yet.
So far I think this is a great little product and I'm sure all the other scents this product comes in are just as wonderful.
I believe it costs 6 euros.
