Why does it take a media storm for Apple to open up on an issue ? It would be so much better if they more forthcoming and frank before an issue snowballs.
your mind is a place i wouldn't want to inhabit. your thought process is sad. i feel sorry for you.

As an Android and iOS user, I'm asking you to please put the crack pipe down. While I preferred WebOS notifications over both, Android notification implementation is head and shoulders above iOS. Don't get me wrong though. I love the sms popup box in Handcent on Android, but I can also respond instantly to the text within the box, never having to go into the app. I can also swipe through multiple messages from multiple people within that popup box, responding to each. iOS notifications simply serve to bring to a halt whatever you are doing, then forces you to locate and open various different apps to tend to those notifications.
with iOS push messages i always see the latest scores from ESPN or the latest deal from groupon. with android there is so much crap when you swipe that half the time i say clear and don't even read it and miss the news i want to track.
but then i don't obsess over my phone like some people. i bought an inspire because it was cheap and does what my old 3GS did. a little more and a little less in some areas
the wifi pop ups might be annoying on iOS but so is on android when it's in such small size that i don't see it most times

Not gonna lie, but the interior on the second car look a little .... out there.
There are always a few Rolls Royces at the mall, I'll try to see if I can find a pic on my phone.

Just bought a 1tb Seagate Desk external hard drive and in an effort to try and hide it, I'm modifying a shoe box to house it nicely. If anyone else has some sort of special set up for their external drive(s), post a picture of it here!

I would like this to work with my iPod Touch 4g.
http://www.ihomeaudio.com/iP11
But all accessories currently say they only work with models before iPhone 4/iPod Touch 4. Does anyone know if these docks work with newer models?

This has to be the worst MacWorld in my recollection. I was super excited to see a Leopard demo, and to order iLife '07 and iWork '07. Especially iWork, which I use all the time.
The name change scares me. The iPhone is useless to me since it is super expensive, and Cingular won't touch South Dakota with a 200 mile pole.
And the Apple tv? Please. If it had DVR capability, I'd be on board. But, everything has to go through iTunes.
My only highlight of the day wasn't even in the keynote, and that's the new AirPort Extreme Base Station. I'll probably get one of those sometime this Spring when I get married. Oh well.
This was a sad day that I got way too excited for. I fear the Mac is getting replaced by Steve's stupid little toy called iPhone.
I agree with you. As a person that lives just a few miles north of you (20 or so) the fact that the iPhone is Cingular makes it worthless for me as well. In fact, anything but Verizon or Alltel is worthless in most midwestern and western rural areas. I guess however you have to cater to where the most customers are so I can't fault Apple for that. I am just glad that companies like Verizon and Alltel haven't forgotten about us in the rural areas like other companies have.
For me the Keynote was pretty boring. The Apple TV is cool enough, but hardly a "must have" item. I would have loved to see some iPod updates (without the phone) or some software updates. Oh well, maybe later this spring we will see something along these lines.

You don't need to know a year ahead of Apple's product launch dates to run your business. There are lots of professionals using 5 year old software to get their millions of dollars of worth work done. I like software upgrades as much as the next guy, but just because it's cool to install new stuff, not that I'll be able to do much more than I can do right now with the new software.Big business will turn over machines every 2 years wether they need it or not. They have to budget for new equipment so they need to know what is down the pipeline.
